
History and development of the company
Founded in 1945, BEYNEL is a family group which grew rapidly from the 1950s in the wooden pallet market, experiencing all aspects of the development of the sector. Its growth has averaged 15% per year since the middle of the 1980s.
BEYNEL has developed in two main directions:
- WOOD, METAL and PLASTIC handling supports and containers
- A range of associated SERVICES (management, storage, maintenance and repair of packaging stocks)
1945
Company founded by Edouard BEYNEL
(Forestry management + sawmill)
1992
Construction of a high-capacity sawmill in the village of Salles, capable of handling 350,000 tonnes of sawn wood per year, in a specially-developed industrial park by the A63 Paris-Bordeaux-Madrid motorway.
1995
Diversification both horizontally (metal and plastic) and vertically (services) into metal handling supports and containers (now the BEYNEL Metal Division).
A centre for the repair, maintenance and management of pallet stocks was opened in Fécamp.
1999
Construction of a new high-capacity factory for assembling pallets on the Salles site.
2002
Foundation of a subsidiary in the UK (Beynel - Manustock UK) specialising in the maintenance of petrochemical container stocks.
